The “Oops, I Forgot to Move the Elf” Days
We’ve all been there… life gets busy, and you forget to move your elf! Luckily, you can save the magic with some fun excuses.
Download your Elf Excuse Guide here:
Some example excuses include:
- The elf was too tired from a busy night of reporting to Santa.
- The elf is taking a day off to save energy for a big surprise.
- The elf is enjoying the view and staying put for a while.
Tips for Not Forgetting to Move the Elf.
1. Set a Phone Reminder: Right after the kids go to bed, set a daily alarm titled “Move the Elf!”
2. Keep a Spot Ready: Have a designated area or prop ready each night to make it easy.
3. Prep During the Day: If you’re super busy, arrange a few ideas in advance and just pick one each night.
4. Enlist Helpers: Older kids or a spouse can help hide the elf if needed.
With these easy ideas, downloads, and tips, the Elf on the Shelf tradition can be magical without being stressful. You’ll keep the holiday spirit alive, give your kids fun surprises every morning, and even have backup plans for those “whoops” days.
